EzekelRAGE
http://imageshack.us/a/img543/936/o1j.pngBoom's aim is to help the more newer/noobish managers in the game get financially stable through scholarshipsalong with providing free vip. Hopefully this can help managers who come into the game get adjusted and stay active. What is Boom? It's sort of like Bo Dayshus' Stacey fund, actually, it's a straight up ripoff. He left the game and the fund died as a result. So I wanted to sort of carry it onwards but do something of my own. It will work like Bo's fund with slight tweaks like givingaway vip each month as well. Wanted Bo's "blessing" but he doesn't log in anymore. How can a manager get some funds/VIP?Tycoon Cash - Send me a pm requesting for it, length doesnt matter. Although the longer, more detailed the better. Being active on the forums helps as well. The quality of your message and the legitimacy of the needed funds will determine how much money is awarded.50k is max amount and 1k is the minimum.VIP - Send me a pm, I'll put your name in a drawing that will be held on the last day of each month. First one will be held on July 31st.I'm a veteran manager, how can I help?By donating! Much like Bo's fund, this is heavily based on donations by wealthier managers. So if your feeling generous senda manager transfer to me along with a message saying it's for the boom fund. Any amount donated is much appreciated. Why should I donate? You should donate if you:- Are feeling generous- Want to give away money, but don't want to deal with the hassle of determing where money goes (or if your giving away vip, you can use our random drawings)- Want to make sure your large sum of cash can go towards helping as many people as possibleAnything to set you apart from the Stacey fund?Yea, I will be giving out 3 months vip each month to a random nonvip manager. I will also post in the OP who donated(unless they want to be anonymous) and managers receiving funds. This will help managers know their cash is going where it is suppose to and give them recognition. Also I will make forum badges/icons for guys who donate/receive donations/vip etc. Here is one example or a work in progress: http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/549/ch73.pngThere will be many more. Of course these aren't mandatory to put in your sig, but thought it would be nice to be able to show off. There will be several more to cover other donation tiers. Like 10k/25k/50k etc donated. Recipients of funds/vip will also get badges. TL:DR - If your noob, request cash/vip by messaging me. If your rich, donate some cash.Current Boom Fund Donations(Cash right now): $12,182,625.00Current number of Scholarships Awarded: 119Total Dollar Value of Scholarships Awarded: $5,235,000Total Lifetime Donations Recieved: $16,863,024Side Note: If you receive a total of 50k from the fund and/or VIP, you are no longer eligible to receive it again in the future.DonorsEzekel Rage - 27kJamie Coton (Coton81) - 500kVille Coleman (Kole) - 50kMarky Mark (Marky) - 501kSteel Penn (SteelPenn) - 2,500,001Damien Washington (BuckWild2690) - 1MRoy Goos(roygoos) - 250kBob Roberts - 10kIcarus Phoenix - 300kScottie Power- 250kWilson Thieatcres - 600kJohnny Lee Paris (jlp) - 500kJuanma Lorente (juanma) - 100kKayne Dewhurst (senseikayne) - 20kChris Garcia (Victusify) - 150kMark O'Sullivan (markyosullivan) - 262kFolgers MegaAir (Zardoz) - 111,111Rory Daly (rdalycolts) - 102,453Harry Gorilla (minark) - 1MBobby Fossil (chroniccrush) - 62kKyle F (kfuhrer) - 55kRichie Richburn (bigrock66) - 20kDon King (handgranaide) - 113kAgent Dee (calmlikeabomb) - 260kDead Disney (DeadDisney) - VIPLuan Dovik (ludovik) - 100kArran Newson (Rizzo) - 500kLek Buddha (Chosen1) - 25kFace Kicker (Face Kicker) - 200kDean Sutherland (Dinooo) - 4.1MKojiro Sasaki (Eveas) - 1MUmberts Doofenshmirtz (GBS) - 1kThor HGH (grasman) - 300kLogan Mikki (DougSupreme) - 100kManuel Tossen (Mannetosen) - 600kChad Didion (cdidman) - 50kKing Justus (Justus) - 10kJohnny Sorrow (IrishX) - 50kTeam Of Purpose (Purpose) - 10kMike Thomas (mwt19744) - 75kMarcus Whitman (Double Negative) - 60kFurious Styles (YellaDragon) - 10,460Rodrigo Oliveira - 120,000Chero Kee - 100kCisco Gomez - 50kDavid Swain - 75kTheodore Boston - 20kDale Saw - 100k Rex Lawson - 250k Marine Man - 25k Ozzy Chandler - 100k Merv Johnson - 100k Bo Dayshus - 150K Scholarship RecipientsMax Damage(SJT) - 15kSuper Sizzle(hfgsizzles) - 30kWill Stuart(GymWill) - 25kCymon Oracion(cymon47)- 50kJeff Li(redstop) - 50kPeter Pancake - 25kJoe Castle(klank430) - 50kMikey Barr(michael.barr) - 50kTom Kuggoz (Kuggoz) - 25kPappa Managggersch (pappa1) - 25kIvan Kroshevik (KrazyIvan) - 25kJoshua Price - (imthranduil) - 50kBenji Hall (Phisch) - 50kSteve Wolfe (higgy44)- 50kMarine Man (gruntusmc17)- 25kMoney$$$$ Mike (thegame) - 25kJin Bogan (monmon123) - 25kBob Runnings (deal4014) - 50kGeorge Hunter (needles) - 25kWalter Sobchak (oparpax) - 25kBilly Babcock (loopbacker) - 25kQaver 007 (Qaver 007) - 25kTiberious Smith (Captainhoenich) - 25kAaron Marceau (wallsh) - 50kRider Rohan (hindsight) - 50kJensen Dayley (JDEE777) - 50kRoy Burger (Roynique) - 50kMike Stone (Bikplaya) - 50kEdsel T. Mystery
Just sent a mailer to a few dozen org owners telling them to let the managers in their org now about the fund. Damien Washington(BuckWild2690) - 100k Roy Goos (roygoos) - 250k Have just made donations. Hmm Damien Washington, isn't that the guy who there was a big discussion about him being a multi of Steel Penn because he bought like 3 years worth of VIP for people not long ago and got his own private jet and all that within a few days of starting the game? lol
EzekelRAGE
Bob Roberts donated 10k, thanks. Just responded to the messages I've recieved. Sent out 8 scholarships/grants for a total of 280k. Those who received the funding are in the op. Hmm Damien Washington, isn't that the guy who there was a big discussion about him being a multi of Steel Penn because he bought like 3 years worth of VIP for people not long ago and got his own private jet and all that within a few days of starting the game? lol What does that have to do with him donating 100k to the boom fund? I messaged org owners about sending a mailer, he responded and wanted to donate like a few others did.

Guest
This is a great initiative. By contrast I've been patiently looking for a mentor since day 1 just over a week ago without a single respondent. So even if I asked for and received a boat load of cash, I wouldnt know what to do with it.
Guest
First off, as a noob, this is very generous of all you guys. This is obviously an awesome community. However let me present the flipside of why this can be counterproductive for noobs. I am uber competitive, love MMA, and have always wanted to get into some sort of rpg, but im not down with the wizards, goblins, etc. So this game ws natural fit. My buddy and I got VIP the same day and automatically were in competition with each other. We made 10 fighter, created orgs, without havig a full grasp of what we were doing. I was having problems like joining deadbeat orgs, not hiring the proper trainers for gym, noob stuff. I came to the forum with some questions asking for advice, however, instead of getting advice a very gracious owner sent me 10k without my knowledge. Though this was nice of him, it took a lot of the fun out of it. I ended up giving half to my friend so we were even. The struggle is a huge part of the fun. I enjoy watching my gym and fighters grow from the ground up. And in addition, I have yet to make a penny from my business, however my prospects were looking good because the leading gym was closing and my gym had grown to be #2. Then naturally, a new biz opens the same day as the other closes, which is supposed to happen. However, the gym owner started his gym with higher rates, and worse coaches, tho he had 2 more. I didnt understand how he could have started that quick and why people were joining a worse gym. Well it makes sense that he is the one that recieved a 50k scholarship, in addition it looks like his gym is being co-run by a big org owner in my city that has a ton of fighters/influence All Im trying to say is by giving noobs heaps of $, you are hurting noobs that they will most likely squash. Peeps doing it the right way, through the ground up and trial and error. VIP days or being a mentor is far more constructive to everyone imo

VIP days or being a mentor is far more constructive to everyone imo As much as you have a good point the problem is that you can't please everyone. I bet for every post like this, which pretty much embraces the idea if the game as it was in its early devolopment, there are plenty of threads that out number this one complaining about NOT having the best fighters, NOT having their fighters in the best gyms and so on. You would have been in your element a few years ago when you used to get just a few hundred raise after going on straight win and having to work to get that big contract.
