Rumble on The Rocks Tournament Light Heavyweight Round 1
Prelims
Alen Zalac v Topper Harley
Zalac (1-2) will be trying to take the fight to the mat against boxer Harley (0-2) who's very small for a light heavyweight, but has some power in his punches, and will be wanting to test Zalac's chin.
Zalac to win via tko round 2
Duncan Macleod v Kyle Mill
This should be a very good fight between 2 young fighters trying to move up the division. Macleod (2-2) Duncan's 2 wins have came through tko's but it was his brutal head kicks that set up both wins. Mill (2-1) with Kyle's superior ground game he will be desperate to get this to the ground as soon as he can.
Macleod KO round 1
Pollo Tropical v Dez Williams
Tropical (2-1)has a very good clinch game and if he gets Williams (1-0) clinched up it could be a long night Williams. Williams last fight only lasted 19 seconds so not much to go on, think we'll see him trying to take this one to the ground.
Tropical by Decision
Rumble on The Rocks Tournament Round 1
Diesel Owens v Bo Zheng
RoTR first match up sees Owens (1-0) take on pizza hater Bo Zheng (0-1) Owens showed good submission skills in his last fight but I feel the solid boxer has still to show us the power of his punch. We've heard Zheng has been working hard on his boxing as he feels he can test Owens chin.
Owens KO round 1
I Am Terrible v Quintus Octavian
Former title holder Terrible (3-1) is desperate to win RoTR to set himself up with another crack at the title.Terrible will try and get Octavian (0-1) into the clinch and use his nasty elbows to cut Octavian up. Octavian lost his only fight by submission but showed good stand up skills. I'm sure he'll be ready for this fight.
Octavian KO round 1
Anthony Johnson v Patrick Loggins
Brown belt Johnson (2-1) will want to go to ground and use his superior sub game on Loggins (0-0) Johnson has also got a fantastic chin. We only have a few grainy video clips of Loggins beating up older guys in New Zealand bars when he was at college. Johnson will start favourite but I think Patrick will be a very dangerous opponent.
Johnson Decision
Jurek Olaf v Joey Karate
Someone's getting knocked out in this fight. We have Olaf (2-1) who loves to get you clinched up and destroy you with big knees. Karate (2-2) another stand and bang fighter who can KO you in a flash with a crazy head kick. This fight is going to get messy with a KO finish pretty much guaranteed.
Olaf KO round 1
Main Event
For the Light Heavyweight Title
Jonas Lofmark v Evan Zoplias
Champion Jonas Lofmark puts his light heavyweight belt on the line against Evan Zoplias (2-0) Lofmark who comes from a great stable has a tri bronze trophy after his first 3 fights, proving he's dangerous anywhere inside the cage. Zoplias 6 years older and if he gets you clinched up he can hurt the best of fighters. Lofmark will start favourite and when fight is over I expect Lofmark to still be champion.
Lofmark KO round 2
