Carnage 1: Initiation – In the Beginning

The Las Vegas-based Carnage Fight League debuted Sunday with a rousing first show that drew an impressive 62.09 rating. Among Vegas fight orgs, only It’s Gon Rain’s July debut show had a higher rating than Carnage’s initial offering. Since IGR’s successful first show, twenty orgs have launched their product and not one eclipsed the 60.00 mark -until Carnage.

When Carnage finally opened its doors, the sold-out Micro Arena in Vegas was teeming with excitement over the newest and hottest brand in the Sin City. The night began with Harris Stephenson entering the cage sporting a 2-0 record and a reputation for a solid chin. He was followed by Jim Jones, making his professional debut but carrying an exhaustive reputation as a street fighter extraordinaire.

A mere eighteen seconds and five punches into his career and Jones had shocked not only Stephenson, but all of Vegas, with a thunderous KO that would serve as a symbol that Jones and Carnage Fight League intend to make their mark on the global MMA fight scene.

Carnage owner, Marco Battaglia was thrilled to kick off his first ever event with a 100% fight rating and admitted that although he thought Jones could win; he never expected Stephenson would be dismantled by the rookie in such a shocking fashion.

The second fight of the night was another welterweight matchup pitting 1-0 Jamey Jasta and his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt versus Keijo Kustavilainen, fresh off back-to-back wins that evened his career record at 2-2. Jasta immediately took the fight to the ground and three submission attempts later, he finished off an armbar submission victory at the 1:01 mark of the first round.

A light heavyweight tilt between Damien Streck and Richard Kuklinski followed and was billed as Carnage’s first ever Winner Takes the Contract fight. With both fighters working under one fight deals, the pressure to score a win and the guaranteed contract was enormous. Kuklinski, who hadn’t fought since opening his career with a win in his EOD debut in December, dominated the first round and then cut Streck with a series of strikes in the opening seconds of the second round. The flurry that kicked off round two weakened Streck and led to Kuklinski’s devastating armbar, ending Streck’s night and closing out his Carnage career.

The fourth event of the night began with Tommy Jones, an all-around MMA fighter putting up his 6-1 career mark against highly touted Samuel Washington, fighting in his first ever contracted event. After the two fighters fought off a total of ten submission attempts in the opening minutes, Washington took advantage of a stand-up situation to unload a series of strikes that would end with a TKO victory at the 3:44 mark of the first round. The victory vaulted Washington to the top of the charts as Carnage’s top-ranked fighter.

A lightweight battle between 1-0 BJ Ericsson and the debuting Hector Muchacho followed and El Diablo entered the cage as a decided favorite against Ericsson. But, after dominating the shell-shocked rookie in the first two rounds, it was Ericsson who finally finished Muchacho with a rear naked choke at 2:43 of round three.

Another Carnage freshman, Jeremy Foster followed in the sixth battle of evening, launching his pro career versus 2-1 Quintonn Jacksson. Foster, a world class amateur wrestler, quickly took the fight to the mat and worked diligently to position himself for a kimura that Jacksson couldn’t fight off, with Foster stopping the Polish fighter at the 1:01 mark of Round 1.

Heading back to the lightweight division, two more 1-0 fighters, Canada’s Max Powers and Ngaio Bealum of Jamaica, entered with similar backgrounds and a desire to keep the fight standing. Bealum, whose camp had talked in the weeks leading up to the event about his improved wrestling skills, surprised Powers with an early takedown and unleashed a barrage of violent ground and pound that finished off Powers at 2:39 in the first round.

Two of the more experienced fighters on the Carnage roster entered the fray next with 2-1 Bjaadi Peebles taking on Dwight Oleander who was reeling from a three fight losing streak heading into his matchup with the Swedish submission specialist. After splitting the first two rounds, Oleander took control in the third and controlled Peebles until positioning himself for a rear naked choke that would end Peebles night at 2:02 in the third period.

The Co-Main Event featured two of Carnage’s top prospects in what was destined to be a ground war. Cheveyo Napayshini (1-0) and Buff Bagwell (0-0) entered with similar resumes and fighting disciplines. The fourth welterweight bout of the night would prove to be a back-and-forth affair with each fighter scoring a win in the first two rounds. But in the end it was Bagwell who won the judge’s favor and earned the victory in the only contest of the evening to go the distance.

The Main Event showcased journeyman grappler Kimura Supreme and his 5-5 record versus the highly promoted Dickie Thon, a brash young former Golden Gloves boxer and amateur wrestling champion. The lightweight battle began with Supreme trying to control the action but Thon, showing off his amateur mat skills, shook off five takedown attempts and set up Supreme for a punishing finish by strikes and a TKO victory at 1:33 in first stanza.

Carnage 2: Havoc

After a scintillating debut in February, Carnage Fight League, a Las Vegas-based mixed martial arts organization heads into March with a head of steam and loads of expectations for their second-ever offering, Carnage 2: Havoc.

Havoc will emanate from the 400-seat Micro Arena in downtown Las Vegas’ area known as Glitter Gulch and will feature twenty fighters battling it out for nearly $14,000 in fighter pay and bonuses.

Carnage 2: Havoc will include four fights in the Light Heavyweight division, highlighted by a Main Event showdown between Donald “The King” Souza and Mickey “The Raging” Mouse. Both main event competitors will enter the cage with unblemished professional records and a chance to supplant Richard Kuklinski as the top 205-pounder in Carnage.

Mouse (2-0) a wrestler, holding a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, will look to take the fight to the mat, where he will have a distinct advantage over Souza. Meanwhile, “The King”, who won his only other pro fight via a three-round unanimous decision, hopes to stand and bang versus his heavier opponent.

Other light heavyweight battles on the card include: Jin Lau (1-0) vs. Thiago Silva (1-0), Christian Striker (1-0) vs. Razor Ramone (0-0), and Jack Jackson (0-0) vs. Juninho Silva (0-0).

Striker enters his match against the rookie Ramone as the second-ranked 205-lb fighter in Carnage but is expected to be tested by Ramone, who is being raved about in Vegas as one of the best young strikers in the light heavyweight division. A Muay Thai fighter, with a solid amateur boxing record to boot, Ramone will need to avoid the dominant Stiker’s attempts to get the fight to the mat. In his first professional appearance, Striker breezed through his opponent in just over a minute, ending the fight with a vicious ground assault in a victory that marked him as a future Carnage champion.

Lau vs. Silva features contrasting styles as well as Lau, the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu clinician takes on the Brazilian striker, Silva.

Two more Brazilians, Jackson and Juninho Silva make their professional debut in the other light heavyweight tilt in a match that Carnage owner Marco Battaglia calls the “closest thing to a toss-up we’ll have all year.”

The Co-Main Event on the Havoc card features welterweight, Matt Hughes (1-1) taking on unbeaten Evan “The Finisher” Sartori (1-0). Sartori, another member of the Brazilian contingent that calls Carnage home, is a phenomenal mat technician who sports a collegiate wrestling background to compliment his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brown belt. Hughes, coming off a unanimous decision win in January, will look to push his career mark to 2-1 with an upset victory over Sartori.

Three fights from Carnage’s crowded lightweight division include the in-ring debuts of Raul “El Matador” Cabrera, Jorge Cruz and Riley “Doom” Jovahn. Cabrera a native of Paraguay battles the American, Jovahn with each competitor trying to win in their first professional fight. Both fighters have a strong Muay Thai background and should elicit an exciting response from the Micro Arena crowd.

Meanwhile, Cruz, an amateur boxing champion in his native Paraguay, will take on Wellington Juvenal a native of Brazil, who has announced that his match with Cruz will be his last fight before heading into retirement.

Havoc will open with a lightweight encounter between former EOD fighter, Jack “Hammer” Johnson, a Muay Thai and BJJ specialist, and Lukasz Korczynski, who had a successful amateur wrestling career in his native Poland before turning his attention to MMA.

Carnage 2: Havoc rounds out its card with middleweight frays between Junior De Silva (1-0) and Zeak Rummind (1-1) and Oscar “El Vaquero” Navero (0-0) and Rousimar Palhares (1-0).

De Silva, a native of Curitiba, Brazil, is a striker ranked as one of the top-1000 middleweights in the world. His opponent Zeak Rummind is a former Afghan guerilla with a submission victory over Venson Clampit in his last outing in January.

Finally, Muay Thai specialist Oscar Navero will kick off his career versus Palhares, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brown belt, who only lasted three minutes in his debut before securing a rear naked choke submission victory over Devin Morningstar.

Tickets to Carnage 2: Havoc can be purchased in advance at the Micro Arena box office or at local Trader Joe’s, Your Neighborhood Grocery Store!

Carnage 3: Insurrection

Carnage 3: Insurrection invades the 400-seat Micro Arena for the third installment from Las Vegas’ newest and hottest fight org, Carnage Fight League. After two successful events thrust Carnage into Vegas’ Top 20, Insurrection looks to build on that momentum.

Insurrection features the debut of Carnage’s growing heavyweight division with two monster bouts plus shows the organization’s depth at 200+ pounds with three light heavyweight tilts.

The Main Event at Insurrection pits unbeaten “Iceman” Richard Kuklinski (2-0) vs. veteran light heavyweight Quintonn Jacksson (2-2). Kuklinski made his successful Carnage debut at last month’s Carnage 1: Initiation with a first round submission win over Damien Streck. That fight was billed as a Winner Takes the Contract Battle and Kuklinski’s impressive showing earned him a four fight contract with Carnage. Meanwhile, Jacksson looks to rebound from a devastating submission loss to Jeremy Foster at Initiation. A win gets Jacksson back in the mix at 205 while a loss may signal the beginning of the end for his MMA career. Kuklinski is the favorite and a win should put him on the title path.

In the Co-Main Event, Lonnie “Ironheart” Kiger (2-0) puts his unbeaten professional record on the line versus Moose Drool, a 260-pounder making his professional debut. Kiger comes into the match as the top-ranked heavyweight in Carnage but the mat technician will have his hands full with Drool, an amateur Muay Thai champion fighting out of the Raffer Steele camp. Look for Drool to score the upset over Kiger.

The night’s other heavyweight battle puts 1-0 Tommy “The Machine” Gunn against Scott “Mace” Monroe (0-1). Gunn won his debut nearly two months ago with Eternal Fight Club via strikes but the former Golden Gloves boxer was released from his contract as EFC began paring down their roster. In Monroe, he will face a fighter whose skills mirror Gunn’s, although Monroe is the rawer fighter. Gunn, fighting out of America’s Most Wanted/Camp Caldera should have the edge in this one.

Two of Carnage’s most seasoned veterans square off in a featherweight tussle when Freida “French Tickler” Felcher (3-3) enters the cage versus Nic “The Bomb” Caswell (5-5). Felcher, a well-rounded fighter is coming off back-to-back losses for the first time in his career after a submission loss to Bruce Flee at EOD’s Movin’ on Up event in February. Felcher hopes a change of scenery will revive his career but to win he must overcome Caswell who has won three in a row since a 2-5 career start. Caswell, a marvelous striker, only fought 1:03 combined in his last two wins, both KO wins that helped even his record at 5-5. Caswell’s standup will likely be too much for Felcher at Insurrection.

The first fight on the main card tonight is a welterweight fight between Buff “The Stuff” Bagwell (1-0) and Keijo Kustavilainen (2-3). Bagwell was able to grind out a unanimous victory at Carnage 1 in his professional debut while Kustavilainen lost via submission for the second time in his career at the same event. Bagwell’s ground game has continued to improve and should prove to be too much for his fellow mat expert, Kustavilainen.

In the undercard bouts, another welterweight showdown pits 2-0 Jamey Jasta against 2-2 Bjaadi Peebles. A win by the favored Jasta puts him on the title track at 170.

Also, in light heavyweight action, 1-2 Lukasz Jurkowski will face off versus America’s Most Wanted/Camp Carnage’s O’Shea Jackson in his professional debut. Jurkowski’s experience could be the difference in this match.

Featherweight’s El Bijay and Hector Muchacho will square off as Muchacho looks to rebound from a disappointing pro debut against Bijay, making his first pro start. On paper Muchacho looks like he should win this match to right the ship.

The evening’s first light heavyweight fight features two exciting rookies, High Voltage taking on Chuck Liddell in what should be a rock ‘em, sock ‘em stand-up battle. Voltage should be able to hold off Liddell in the end.

Carnage 3: Insurrection will mark the debut of another America’s Most Wanted/Camp Carnage fighter, Muay Thai specialist, Johnny “9MM” Walker. Walker looks to score his first career win versus dangerous journeyman, Jason “Ballz” Sofa.

Tickets to Carnage 3: Insurrection can be purchased in advance at the Micro Arena box office or at local Trader Joe’s, Your Neighborhood Grocery Store!

Carnage 9: Intimidation, sponsored by Grappling Pro Gear, kicks off tonight from Wild Bob’s Bar in Las Vegas with ten bouts headlined by the debuts of three high profile free agents and a Heavyweight title fight that is expected to leave fans clamoring for more.

The Main Event features two light heavyweight standouts transitioning from other orgs in what looks to be a brutal battle. Fedor The Last Emperor comes over Malicious Intent Fighting Championships and will enter the cage for the first time since January when he battles Tatanka “The Lumbee Warrior” Blackfoot, a mere weeks remove from a ten fight stint with Massacre Mixed Martial Arts. Blackfoot has a solid range of submission moves and formidable knockout power but has been knocked out three times in his career. Emperor, a veteran of five professional fights, is a mat technician who has submission victories in all four career bouts. Emperor, who is sponsored by Grappling Pro Gear, will look to prove to his bosses that their sponsorship dollars are well worth the money.

In the Co-Main Event, Carnage’s first Heavyweight Champion, Vekkuli Toveri looks to defend his belt against the highly touted Hannibal Lecter, a top-500 in weight class heavyweight, who steps into the cage under the Carnage banner for the first time. Toveri was able to grind out a five round unanimous decision victory over Johnny Johnson in his Carnage debut to capture the title at 265. Lecter, fighting out of the Thundering Herd Fighters, enjoyed a successful run with Equal Opportunity Destroyers but moved over to Carnage for the chance at becoming a champion. Toveri, the champ is the underdog in this one, but hopes to utilize a superior Muay Thai attack to fend of the challenger.

Also on the main event card, two ground specialists, Dwight Oleander and Evan Sartori square off in what has shaped up to be a possible number one contenders match in the 170lb weight class. Oleander, pegged “The Real Deal” has reeled off three straight submission wins since coming over to Carnage giving him submission stoppages in each of his six career wins. His opponent, the young and improving Sartori, upset another veteran, Shane Hunter in his last bout and has the ground skills to neutralize Oleander’s proficient offensive attack.

Another free agent makes his Carnage debut when T-Rex Silva, coming off a five month layoff, looks to extend his unbeaten streak versus Jeremy Foster. Silva, a deadly submission specialist, has submitted all five men he has faced since turning pro but had his career derailed due to managerial issues. In Foster, he will face a hungry young lion who is a four-tool prospect, embarrassed by a first round knockout loss to the veteran, Chuck Liddell in his last match. If Foster can control T-Rex’s jiu-jitsu, he should give Silva his first career loss.

The final main event bout features “Chunky Chops” Powell, a submission specialist versus fellow jiu-jitsu brown belt, Rousimar Palhares. Both fighters look to rebound from disappointing losses in their last outings and will try to get back on track in the competitive 185-lb weight class.

Also appearing at Carnage 9: Intimidation will be Lukasz Jurkowski, putting his two-fight win streak on the line, versus the highly touted young wrestler, Gerald Watson who will be the fifth fighter of the night to make his Carnage debut.

In a match featuring contrasting styles, Royce Gracie a jiu-jitsu brown belt, takes on Matt Hughes, an amateur wrestling champion, who has struggled to make the transition into the world of MMA.

It will also be stand-up versus mat technician when 2-1 JJ Goodis begins his Carnage career versus veteran Harris Stephenson (3-1-1). Goodis prefers to keep the fight on his feet and will be tested by Stephenson, another bjj brown belt. Stephenson has submission victories in each of three wins and could tap Goodis out if he can get the youngster on the mat.

Grappling Pro Gear’s-sponsored Carnage 9: Intimidation will also feature rookies Jesse Ray and Cody Myres, each making their professional debuts in what should be an exciting slugfest. Ray is an amateur boxing champion while Myres, the more well rounded fighter, hopes his advancing wrestling skills will make the difference in this match.

Carnage 9: Intimidation will begin with what should be an entertaining bout between Anderson Silva and O’Shea Jackson, two evenly matched youngsters coming off wins in their last fight.

Grappling Pro Gear will provide Fight of the Night, Carnage KO of the Night and Submission of the Night bonuses in conjunction with their sponsorship deal with Carnage Fight League. Bonuses will be worth $500 each and any fighter earning a bonus who is wearing Grappling Pro Gear wear will earn an additional $500.

Carnage Fight League, Las Vegas’ premier young MMA organization, once again invades The Underground Saturday night with Carnage 11: Uprising, sponsored by Rusty Cage Fightwear.

Carnage 11: Uprising, the second event to be sponsored by Montreal-based Rusty Cage Fightwear, features ten exciting bouts, headlined by the first ever title defense for Welterweight champion, Jamey Jasta. Jasta, unbeaten at 4-0, captured the 170-title at last month’s Carnage 6: Entitlement when he stopped previously unbeaten Buff Bagwell via second round TKO. Fighting out of The Laundromat/Schwartz training camp, Jasta has blossomed into a dangerously well-rounded MMA fighter. Once considered “just” a jiu-jitsu guy, the bjj brown belt has vastly improved his striking skills to become a well-respected boxer and muay thai fighter. In Jim “Rainbow Family” Jones, Jasta will face another unbeaten fighter; albeit one who lacks the ground pedigree that Jasta had to face versus Bagwell in the inaugural welterweight title fight. What Jones doesn’t show on the ground, he makes up with a wonderful stand-up style that has him 3-0 heading into the biggest fight of his career. Jones, who is sponsored by Rusty Cage Fightwear, the show’s co-promoter, will certainly look to make his bosses proud with an upset victory over the reigning title holder.

The Co-Main Event pits two top challengers in the lightweight division when veteran “Diamond” Timothy Flowers takes on another Laundromat/Schwartz fighter, Freida “French Tickler” Felcher. Both of these men have resurrected their careers since coming over to Carnage with Felcher seeking his third straight victory under the Carnage banner. Felcher is a former 155-champion, having captured the World Brawl title in November and brings the experience of twelve professional fights to the cage. On his personal web page, Flowers was quoted as saying, “I will give you something to felch, frieda. Lots of it.” That sort of trash talk between these two fighters has made this co-main event a must-see fight.

Also on the main card, young heavyweights Moose Drool (2-0) and Tommy Gunn (2-1) face off in what is expected to be a vicious stand-up war. Drool is a Muay Thai specialist with a fast-improving ground game who has won via TKO in both of his first two career fights. Gunn, a superb boxer, likes to throw the big bombs but out-wrestled an experienced Gary Emmitt Jr. to win his last Carnage fight via unanimous decision. Smart money says someone gets knocked out in this behemoth battle.

The evening’s fourth main event match showcases two young unbeatens in the light heavyweight division when Cody “Big Mac” Myres (1-0) does battle with Benjamin “Fresh” Prince (2-0), another Rusty Cage Fightwear-sponsored 205er. Prince makes his Carnage debut after two impressive QFC wins but steps up in competition against fellow stand-up striker, Myres. A skilled boxer with a solid wrestling background, Myres dominated Jesse Ray in his Carnage debut last month and looks to extend his professional record to 2-0.

The final main event card of the evening involves impressive young welterweights trying to get back on track after disappointing losses in their last outings. Glen Quagmire (2-1) lost a unanimous decision verdict to Jim Jones in a number one contender’s match in his Carnage debut at Carnage 7: Vitality. A highly-contested free agent, Quagmire was favored over Jones but could never quite recover from a nasty cut in the opening seconds of their fight and went on to withstand three rounds of vicious striking that ended in a surprising loss. His Uprising opponent, Bagwell, was TKO’d with two seconds left in the second round of his last bout, a welterweight title loss to Jamey Jasta at Carnage 6: Entitlement. The winner of this bout puts themselves back into title contention.

The Carnage 11: Uprising preliminary card is highlighted by the debut of “Downtown” Tyson Brown (10-1) who enters the cage for the first time since December. Brown, who began his career 10-0, captured welterweight titles with two different organizations in England, including London’s top org, Cu Chulainn Fighting League. But, then a managerial dispute forced him out of competition for ninety days until he signed with Napoleon Scully and made his way to Vegas where he promptly signed on with Carnage. Brown will take on Tommy Jones, formerly of the Carnage/Battaglia/America’s Most Wanted Training Camp, now fighting under the tutelage of King Mauler.

Also on the undercard, BJ Ericsson (3-1) looks to put behind him a fifteen second KO in a lightweight title bout in his last event when he faces Dickie Thon (2-2). Thon was once seen as a likely lightweight contender but has been derailed by back-to-back decision losses.

The undercard also features the Carnage debut for Punjab Sujee (1-0) a heavyweight from New Delhi, India who will take on veteran “Vaporizer” Gary Emmitt, Jr (3-4).

The featherweight division will be featured in preliminary bouts when Jason Mayhem (1-0) faces “The Rostov Ripper” Andrei Chikatilo (1-1), the third Laundromat/Schwartz fighter on the card.

Carnage 11: Uprising will kick off with a middleweight showdown between Dan Henderson and Oscar Navero. Navero has already announced his retirement after this fight.

Carnage 11: Uprising is the second Carnage event to take place at Las Vegas’ Underground and seeks to become the thirteenth consecutive sellout for Carnage Fight League. In a sponsorship deal with Rusty Cage Fightwear, RCF will provide $500 Fight of the Night, Submission of the Night and KO of the Night bonuses to selected winners.

Rusty Cage Fightwear also has all your MMA clothing needs including Carnage t-shirts and shorts available in their store.

On Saturday May 22, 2010 twenty fighters will enter the Las Vegas Underground hoping their fight will reveal a clear path for their careers.

For four men, Revelation means questions will be answered, unbeatens will separate and Champions will be crowned. Carnage 12: Revelation, the third event in a multi-event sponsorship deal with Montreal’s Rusty Cage Fightwear, features four fighters with a combined career record of 15-0 trying to determine the best lightweight and middleweight fighters within Carnage Fight League, one of the preeminent young MMA organizations in the world.

In the Main Event at Carnage 12, “Smoke” Ngaio Bealum (4-0) will put his unbeaten mark and his lightweight crown on the line versus Raul “El Matador” Cabrera who enters the cage with wins in his first three career bouts. Bealum has quickly ascended to the top of the ranks in the 155lb. division with first round KO’s in each of his three career Carnage bouts, including an impressive mauling of BJ Ericsson at the fifteen second mark of the first round in their inaugural Carnage Lightweight Championship fight.

Like Bealum, Cabrera, a well-respected Muay Thai fighter, enters the cage with an unblemished record and three consecutive first round stoppages. For Cabrera, a native of Loma Plata, Paraguay, each of his wins has come via first round submissions, proving that he should be the superior ground specialist in this bout. Meanwhile, the reigning champ will look to take advantage of a stand-up game that has proven unstoppable in Bealum’s young career.

In the Co-Main Event, two more unbeatens will square off when middleweight title holder, Scipio Africanus defends his 185lb crown versus Samuel “Constitution” Washington. Africanus, who has three career first round KO wins, will look to become the first fighter with three title fight wins, following title wins over Steve Willis and Zeak Rummind. In Washington, Africanus will face a fighter four years younger who is highly touted as a future pound for pound king within Carnage. Washington has TKO’d three straight opponents, all in the first round. The winner of this battle will no doubt be the man with the best chin as superb striking will be on the forefront in this sure-to-be-exciting match.

In other Main Event card matches, light heavyweights Christian “The Gladiator” Striker (3-1) and Last Emperor (4-2) look to rebound from disappointing losses in an effort to regain footing in the suddenly crowded 205lb. division. Striker lost a unanimous decision verdict to Richard Kuklinski in a number one contender’s match in his last outing after debuting with three straight first round KO victories. Meanwhile, Emperor will try to shake off the emotional effects of a brutal first round KO suffered at the hands of “The Lumbee Warrior” Tatanka Blackfoot in his Carnage debut last month.

Also on the Main Event card, welterweights Josh “The Punisher” Michaels (2-0) and Alex “Bullseye” Pierce (2-1) will do battle as they try to move up the ranks in the 170lb class. Carnage 12: Revelation will mark the Carnage debut for Michaels who has finished both of his career wins (KO and submission). Pierce has won his last two pro outings after dropping his debut, including a :58 TKO win over Keijo Kustavilainen at Carnage 8: Conviction.

The final Main Event match features more middleweight action when Kevin “The Strike King” VanDam (3-1) steps into the cage against “Captain America” Louis Caputo. VanDam was impressive in three straight submission wins to kick off his professional career. However, he was stopped via first round TKO in his last outing versus current lightweight #1 conteder, Samuel Washington. His opponent, Caputo, debuted at Sunday Night Carnage versus Samuel Sawyer and took home a unanimous decision victory in his first Carnage (and professional bout).

In preliminary action, Carnage 12: Revelation will kick off with a lightweight tilt between El “The F King” Bijay (2-1) and Max Powers (2-2). Powers will win the fight if he can keep it standing while Bijay will look to control Powers on the mat to show off his dominant ground skills.

Also on the undercard, upstart David Duncan (1-0) does battle with journeyman lightweight Kimura “Bonesnapper” Supreme (6-8).

Two other young fighters enter the cage in light heavyweight action when “The Raven” Edgar Allan Poe makes his professional debut against Jesse Ray (0-1).

Another 205lb. matchup pits Lukasz Jurkowki (3-4) versus former amateur boxing champion, “The Kentucky Killer” Jon Kirby (1-1). Kirby, who is represented by Carnage 12: Revelation sponsor, Rusty Cage Fightwear will be trying to move past the .500 mark for the first time in his young MMA career.

The final fight of the evening features another Rusty Cage Fightwear combatant, unbeaten Derek Kennemore (2-0) taking on James “Chunky Chops” Powell (2-1). Kennemore has a decided advantage on the feet versus Powell but will be challenged by Powell, a Brazilian jiu jitsu brown belt coming off a submission victory at Carnage 9: Intimidation.

Carnage Fight League is proud to present Carnage 12: Revelation and extends a hearty thank you to Rusty Cage Fightwear for sponsoring Fight of the Night, Submission of the Night and KO of the night bonuses at each and every Carnage event.

Once again The Las Vegas Underground is preparing for the fighters and fans of Carnage Fight League as Carnage 13: Unlucky charges into Vegas Saturday night for ten bouts, sponsored by Rusty Cage Fightwear.

Carnage 13: Unlucky features Heavyweight Champion, Hannibal Lecter (7-3) defending the title he captured at Carnage 9: Intimidation versus “The Ground Guru” Check Mong (10-5). Mong looks to become the third straight 265-lb champion to capture the title in his inaugural Carnage event. Mong, originally from Congo, walks around nearly thirty pounds heavier than the Lithuanian champ and will look to use that size advantage to control Lecter on the ground. In what has become customary in the electronic age, Mong has recently used his personal web site to post this snippet: “Hannibal Lecter is my next victim. I’m the GROUND GURU!!! Once I “Check” your ground game, you will never be the same.” Odds makers have made Mong a 2:1 favorite to defeat the champion.

The co-Main event pits two unbeaten light heavyweights battling it out for the 205-lb title when champion, Mickey “The Raging” Mouse defends (5-0) against “The Iceman” Richard Kuklinski (4-0). Mouse upset then-champion Cameron Diesel at Carnage 10: Destruction with a brutal series of strikes less than a minute into the match to capture the title. In Kuklinski, he faces another member of the vaunted Laundromat/Schwartz fighting camp that has already produced champions at two other weight classes within Carnage Fight League. Mouse, a Rusty Cage Fightwear-sponsored fighter, hopes to become the first person to defend their title in the heavyweight or light heavyweight divisions.

Also, on the main event card, it will be former 185lb challenger Zeak Rummind moving up to light heavyweight to take on Jeremy “Sly Fox” Foster. Rummind was stopped by then-champion Scipio Africanus via first round strikes in his last outing, halting a three fight win streak. Meanwhile, Foster also was the victim of a first round loss in his last fight, a main event showing versus Nozumu Itoshiki at Sunday Night Carnage 2. On paper, Foster appears to be the dominant fighter, but a suspect chin that has seen him get knocked out in two of his last three events, has critics wondering about his potential viability as a LHW contender.

The main event card features two veteran fighters in the welterweight division when Harris “The Sandman” Stephenson (3-2-1) takes on Shane “The Hurricane” Hunter (4-5). Stephenson, a bjj brown belt, has finished his opponents via submission in all three of his career wins. In Hunter he faces a well-rounded fighter with bjj purple belt and three career KO wins. The fighter who controls where this fight takes place should prevail as Hunter will look to keep the fight standing and Stephenson will try to force the action to the mat.

The fifth main event card of the night pits JJ Goodis (3-1) against Dwight “The Real Deal” Oleander (6-4). These two welterweights are a contrast in styles. Goodis, riding a three fight win streak, is a striker with limited ground skills. The more experienced Oleander prefers the ground game as proven by his six career submission victories.

Carnage 13: Unlucky gets started when “The Gorilla” Joe Big (1-0) makes his Carnage debut against Samuel Sawyer (1-1). In three career fights between them, neither fighter has ever finished a fight. But, if someone is to score a stoppage in this one, look for Sawyer with a impressive Muay Thai pedigree to win via KO.

The second preliminary bout of the evening features Anderson Siva (2-3) taking on young upstart, Alex Potts (2-0) in a light heavyweight clash. Silva, who has already announced his retirement following the fight, will try to end his career on a winning note against Potts, making his Carnage debut following first round knockout wins in his first two pro fights.

The third fight of the evening will mark the Carnage debut of another title hopeful when Jake Foster (4-1) moves to the lightweight division to do battle against veteran journeyman, Nic “The Bomb” Caswell (5-6). Foster is a wrestler with an improving stand up game that will tested by a superb boxer.

The preliminary card is highlighted by a heavyweight tilt between Ryan “The Rage” Hughes (3-1) and former 265 champion, Vekkuli Toveri (6-5). Hughes suffered his first career loss at Carnage 10: Destruction when he cut by Ethan Jones and unable to continue. His opponent, Toveri seeks to get back on the title track in Carnage’s highly competitive heavyweight division after a fourth round submission loss to Hannibal Lecter at Carnage 9: Intimidation.

The last match of the night showcases “The Kansas City Bandit” Jason High (2-0) looking to extend his unbeaten streak against “El Nino” Tony Duncan (1-1). High should have the advantage in this match but could be susceptible to Duncan’s superior jiu jitsu skills.

Carnage 13: Unlucky will feature Fight of the Night, The Carnage KO of the Night and the Rusty Cage Submission of the night awards, all sponsored by Montreal’s Rusty Cage Fightwear.

"Whatsth up bitchesth? Ogg Nogg isth back, and disth time he isth realllllly pisssthed off ! ! !"[/i] - Ogg Nogg - 6/23/2011

(8-2) Grappling powerhouse "The Jive Turkey" Ogg Nogg has proven himself to be a true test for opponents in the bantamweight, and featherweight division, and now he has returned to his original weight class of lightweight to make a run for the lightweight strap. Presently ranked in the top 200 of his weight class, Nogg has a tough test on his hands if he wants to once again move into title contention. Tomorrow night in Las Vegas Ogg Nogg is to test Mike from PSU's goldenchild (8-2) Hack "The Cowboy" Macdonald Jr in what will surely be a battle of the ages. MacDonald is one hell of a striker standing a lean 6'2 and 155lbs, which makes him one of the tallest fighters to ever have fought in the lightweight division. Now compared against Ogg Nogg's 5'6 frame, you can clearly see who is going to have the reach advantage on fight night, but when you think about it its going to be very tough to get Ogg Nogg off of you with that kind of build, if he gets his hands on you you are undoubtedly going for a ride. Will Ogg Nogg be able to close the distance without taking to many big shots? Or will he be able to utilize his superior ground game to bring this fight to the canvas? Its hard to say....

Lets take a look at Ogg Nogg's last fight where he took on none other than Convicted's own Paul Bradleys sprawl and brawler (13-5) Brad Beckam who was riding an 8 fight streak prior to meeting Nogg in the cage for Noggs Carnage debeut. It was clear that Ogg Nogg was being fed to the wolves in this fight, as Beckam was a former champion with high level boxing and a brown belt, this was surely going to be the test of all tests....

Well it was for a moment, until Nogg took him down and caught him with an American at 3:43 of the first round and handed him his first submission loss and derailed his win streak.

I know your thinking to yourself, well these are two different types of fighters one is a boxer, and now Nogg faces MacDonald who is sensational on the feet and has a solid wrestling base, and your right, no doubt about it this is going to be a huge test for Ogg Nogg, a win will propel him into title contention, and a loss sends him packing to the bottom of the division to start all over again.... Its clear both of these fighters have everything to gain, and so much to lose, which in turn means we will see a real war Friday night.

After speaking to a few alliance members from the Tycoon Hybrid Coalition it was clear that not one person in the alliance believes that Ogg Nogg will have what it takes to win this fight... not one person... accept for his manager Brandon Loveladdy.

"Ogg Nogg can never be counted out, he has never been knocked out, never been hurt, and never quits. People can call him an underdog all they want, but the fact of the matter is that (Nogg) will be champion one day, I believe in him.... no matter who you put him up against he will perform and not wilt under the pressure...." Brandon Loveladdy

Well you know its coming, we have Ogg Nogg here with us to answer a few questions and to talk about the fight tomorrow, this is the moment you have all been waiting for... Ladies and Gentelman ... Ogg Nogg.
