Mentor
Some people were saying Golden State would not beat the Bulls record of 72 wins. One month ago i was saying that i expect them to get to that mark this year. Since then they lost just once game! They are 29-1 for the season. There is still a long way to go, but as i said earlier, GS will likely break that record if they can stay healthy. They still have Barnes sitting out due to injury and that has made wins more difficult to come by, but they look solid to beat the 72 mark even with one of their starters out. Unless Curry or Klay get an injury i expect them to be breaking yet another record this year. The only team i think can beat them at full strength over a 5 or 7 series is the Spurs at the moment. They have not played this year yet, so that game will be interesting to see.
Mentor
If you did not see the game between the Golden State and Washington, it is worth watching to just see Curry. I think he had 25 points in the first quarter, missing just one shot. 51 i think in total with 11 3pts in the game!

Mentor
Anyone watch the All Star weekend? I think Gordon's dunks were actually more impressive than Lavine's. Much better thought out and the skill level/effort was higher.
Deuce7
Didn't watch any of the all star weekend. I never watch the game, but I normally watch the dunk contest and 3 point contest. Unfortunately I wasn't hope for either of those this year.
Deuce7
On another note, this trade deadline has been interesting. I like the Wizards getting Morris from Phoenix. The Cavs trading Varejao after all these years was surprising, but needed.
Jacman
LaVine's dunks were very impressive and deserve the 50's he got but Gordon's dunks were better but with there being a ceiling things like that can happen. They need to have dunk off's be about the most impressive dunk instead of scores because lets be honest those two could have and should have gone all night with 50 after 50. I remember watching ESPN and most everyone was saying that LaVine would run away with it but all I could think was Gordon is gonna be a beast. Would love to see Andrew Wiggins in it next year, he has a tremendous vertical. Morris to the Wizards is great for both sides. Morris has been pretty bad all year and his attitude is awful but I'm sure now that he is with the Wizards he will perform and hopefully act much better. Mentor
Yeah, i think they should review the way the Dunk contest is ranked.
Mentor
I predicted it right in November (that Golden State will break the Bulls 72-10 record this year), they are also the big favorites to win it this year, although the Spurs could still pull off an upset i think. The1rstSaint
I hope to see Miami and Golden State in the finals. Miami over Cleveland in the east. Golden state over OKC. My finals pick will be the underdog Miami Heat
Mentor
Some how i doubt Miami will get to the finals, in fact i am not sure they will play in the East finals, let alone get past Cleveland. I also think the Spurs will recover from their hiccup from game 2 and will still probably beat OKC. If Curry does not come back, i doubt GS has enough talent to beat the Spurs, but they should be able to get past OKC.

kenlow73
Adams from OKC looks like if he wasn't an NBA player he'd be doing porn.
Mentor
I was impressed by how GS came back from 3-1 to win the OKC series. I thought the Thunder had them at that point, but GS got nasty to win the last 3. Will be an interesting final's series between them and the Cavs.
WhyVolvo
Because of Green, I am now rooting for Lebron for the first time. It would be insane if the Cavs can make a 1-3 comeback as well.
Mentor
Frankly speaking, the step over by Lebron was much worse than the reaction from Green. He essentially started the problem, so it was only natural for Green to respond.
WhyVolvo
Nah man Im really annoyed since the start. He is shouting And One on every drive then flex his muscles like a gorilla xD It only worsened in the OKC series when the NBA did not suspend him in for everything he does and only suspends Draymond when they were what, up 3-1?. Feels like Adam Silver wants the golden boys to win so badly.
Mentor
I think with Green it is just emotions, he does not have bad intentions when he does what he does and he is most certainly not a dirty player. Deliberate actions such as Lebron stepping over a player is much worse, because he acted that way when he was "calm", it was clearly a provocation. End of the day is that the Cav's got a very favorable suspension for Green and they managed to get the away win to get it to 3-2.
WhyVolvo
With or without intentions, he is literally kicking people in the nuts without getting suspended. Okc series would different if Green got suspended much sooner. Anyway who do you originally root for? Maybe were both Mavs fans future is pretty meh for them but I hope their luck on FA's would turn around.
Mentor
I support the Lakers, lol, we have been sucking so much balls as of late i stop watching them around xmas every year. Usually i end up supporting a West team in the finals.
WhyVolvo
I personally like Clarkson and his potential. Lakers have a good young core, time and good GM moves should fix the Lakers back. Mavs on the other hand, might be destined to be mediocore if we cant have a good FA signings
Mentor
I love Clarkson as well, he has progressed a lot since we got him, but although he is a 2 year player, he is 24y of age. I think he has All star type potential though. In regards to the "GM moves", i am less confident, our management sucks balls major time. In the past 5-6 years we have made some really bad moves and i am not sure where to start. I could not get the signing of Williams or Young, they are both ball dominating players which shoot a poor %. We already had Bryant for that, so why add another 2 similar minded players? Hibbert in particular was a terrible move as well, considering how the game has changed and his inability to score and defend the pick and role. They were saying that he would provide us the defensive presence, our defense went from poor to terrible and he simply took up roster space at 15m per year, while also taking away minutes from a prospect Center. The move to force Howard to sign, while giving away what was at the time the #3rd best center totally backfired. I was not a huge fan of Howard at that point and from what i see, he went downhill anyway. The Nash move was a catastrophe, big cash on a 3 years contract for a guy which was way past it and injury plagued. At the same time we had guys which i rated highly, such as Ariza, we let go virtually for nothing, in exchange to get MWP, sure we got a title with him, but i am certain we could of got it with Ariza anyway. Also letting Barnes leave was a poor move, he proved to be a legit #3 for the Clippers for several years, man, the poor decisions are endless. I am ok with us going for Walton, at least he is a Laker which has a modern system, young and has been coaching on a winning team the past few years. Having Scott as coach was like watching a team play on autopilot. Basically he is a coach stuck in the 80s, his methods simply do not work and his man management proved to be terrible. Put it this way, Scott is not a coach which can develop a young team. I think the Mavs do a fantastic job, you simply have been really unlucky with the injuries. I think your coach does a really good job as well with the tools he is given, plus i love it that your management has faith in him (which they should). He knows how to get the most out of his veteran's and push guys which are drained to the max of their potential + ability. I know a lot of people go nuts about draft picks, but frankly i prefer the approach the Mavs take. The long road of rebuilding via the draft is not an option for big market teams and watching the Lakers has been painful as hell the past 2-3 years. I think you were also somewhat unlucky not getting Jordan last season, i mean his last second change of heart really cost you guys because you had to go for option #2 which was Pachulia..................not exactly a fantastic plan B. You desperately needed Jordan this year, he would of gave you guys depth and the defensive presence you needed. That was the major issue with you guys this year. In the end, his decision to not move to the Mavs probably played out worse for him as well.
Mentor
Game 7 tonight by the way, looking forward to it! I think the Cav's have the chance to make history and become the first team ever to come back from a 3-1 in the finals.
WhyVolvo
The whole Jordan fiasco is really sad. I dont live in US so idk why but Free Agents seems to not like to live in Dallas at all. Jordan was one of the first big catch we had for years and then he changed his mind :/ Pachulia wasnt even our plan B. We literally stopped looking for the next candidate since Jordan verbally agreed to sign with us. Its just really crushing to be honest.
