BigTree
Come check out KONFLIKT. Happily add some extra bonus money to keep your fighter in a great private gym. Get the mentor as stated above. Be active in the community. Digging through Noob Forums will help with most the questions you have. Humors is on chat, but some other helpful managers are there too. Good luck. Hit me up if you need anything.

Hit me up if you need anything. Konflict is an ID restricted org. It is probably one of the best places for a new manager (or even just new fighters) to start out in. There are other ID restricted orgs. I think there is a thread somewhere that lists all of them. You are sure to find one that is close to where you are based, although that is much less of a big deal now that locations are turned off. Definitely check out the noob forums. They have a host of useful information on fighter creation/training and so much more. One of the biggest mistakes that new managers make is jumping in straight away and making a fighter with skills spread out all over the place and thinking that they made a decent, balanced fighter. Then go jump into a QFC and get owned. DO NOT MAKE A FIGHTER UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THE VARIOUS THREADS DISCUSSING THE PROPER WAY TO DO SO. Then get a mentor... 1

jjsquirrel
I was planning to get a mentor but not right away. Then I just kept winning and rising in rank.. not sure what's happening. Feels silly to ask for a mentor when I technically outrank some of them, but I'm probably in way over my head here. Some people have been really helpful though and offered either advice or money. For me reading the noob section of the forum was really helpful, lots of good threads there. So I would say start there, even before getting a mentor, if nothing else it will be a few things less your mentor need to explain to you. Warwynd
Technically, I did have a mentor, but he went inactive just a few days after I got him, and so I effectively had to learn on my own. The forums were a great help though, and eventually I found some people that were helpful and had good solid advice and my game improved. I stand by my earlier statements and those of many others here. A dedicated mentor that does not skip out on you as soon as you get him, is indispensable. Cobra7
Fairly certain that a "good" mentor has to be good at the game, bud! I don't claim to be good at sliders but I am good at which builds yield maximum training in the shortest amount of time as well as good on the business end. Also if you read his whole post he said a good mentor who won't disappear on you. I haven't pulled a Houdini act once
