Tau "The Black Terror" Masunwendinghamar (368928)   A Botswana native, Tau’s martial arts journey started with boxing at the young age of 10 years old. After 8 long years of hard training and fighting at the amateur level, Tau was approached by an American boxing coach who had been scouting for talent to take part in illegal cage fights in the US. The coach had offered Tau a chance to leave Botswana and he pounced at the chance to potentially better his life and finally make a name for himself.    The heavy handed Tau had quickly grown in popularity in the illegal fight scene, getting his hand raised 20 times; winning via brutal KO each and every time! He was extremely well known for his granite chin and insane KO power which often left his opponents trembling in fear just looking at his 196cm, 277 lbs frame. Tau had decided that he had enough of fighting and decided to get a regular job. That didn’t last long… The thrill of cage fighting had got him hooked and he decided to start training MMA professionally at Gold Samurai’s Gym after the well known Roman Benson had seen great potential in the African native and offered him a spot in the gym.   Tau has earned his nickname “The Black Terror” due to his love of horror movies and the vicious KO power that he possesses. In his incredible 41 fight career he has a 100% finishing rate in his wins with 22 (T)KOs to his name. This is a perfect example of a kill or be killed type of fighter because only 1 (2%) of his fights have ever gone to the judges! Tau has gained $44,000 in bonuses during his career with 4 KO of the night awards and 1 Fight of the night award. “The Black Terror” has fought 12 of his fights at Super Heavyweight (265+) and the other 29 at Heavyweight (265).   Tau has fought in 10 different fight organisations… these include: Iron Wolf Fight League (360k+)  CALIFORNIA MMA (360k+)   BLAZE BROTHERS   Dynasty MMA   Evolution Fight League   ENIGMA SMASH Fighting Championship  Combate  World Vale Tudo Fight League Bloodsport Elite   At 33 years old, 15 years after Tau left Botswana on his hunt for glory… he has decided to hang up his gloves and retire from professional MMA fighting and is now spending his time in the sunny Bahamas sipping away on cocktails.    This man has forged himself a legendary career with his fists leaving only blood and pain behind him. He has been a massive inspiration to all of Africa’s youth but especially those in Gaborone, Botswana where he was born.
