Maia seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Maia throws a head kick that misses.
Maia looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cide is fending him off so far but Maia persists. Nope, Cide circles away and we're back to standing.
A little jabbing left from Cide on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Maia fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cide avoids it really well and circles away.
Cide lands a nice shot that snaps Maia's head back. #CUT2#
It looks like Miko Maia has been cut.
Cide lands a jab.
Maia pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Cide back to the cage. Maia follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.#CUT#
It looks like Sewy Cide has been cut.
Sewy Cide seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maia throws a body punch but Cide moves out of range.
Maia slips a straight right by Cide.
Maia tries to counter with a takedown but Cide is quick to defend against it.
Maia misses with a right hand
and Cide counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Maia shoots in and drives through. Cide sprawls well.
Sewy Cide is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Cide drops Maia with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Maia looks back up at him and smiles so Cide waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed. #ROC2#

Cide throws a sloppy head kick and Maia moves out of range easily.
As Cide tries to get set, Maia tries to push him back and clinch up but Cide manages to avoid the attempt.
Oh Maia is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cide connects with a stiff jab that staggers Maia - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sewy Cide!
During a confident post fight interview, Sewy Cide thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
