Maverick jumps guard but Lord stands there with Maverick around his waist. Maverick gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Maverick tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lord smiles and moves away.

Lord has managed to clinch.
Maverick tries to pull guard but Lord holds him up against the cage and eventually Maverick drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Maverick. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lord lands a nice shot to the body.
Maverick could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Maverick jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lord walks away with a smile on his face. Maverick gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #CL2#

Lord creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Maverick's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Maverick drops to his knees and Lord pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
