Almeida drops Bartkiewicz with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bartkiewicz looks back up at him and smiles so Almeida waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Almeida connects with a stiff jab that staggers Bartkiewicz - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Diaz is not content to let Bartkiewicz control the position.
Bartkiewicz tries to pass to full mount but Diaz defends it.
Diaz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Diaz.
Bartkiewicz wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving.
Bartkiewicz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diaz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bartkiewicz has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Diaz should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Bartkiewicz has tightened it up now! Diaz should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
