Mendes shoots in looking for a takedown. Yamasaki tries to sprawl out of it but Mendes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yamasaki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Mendes slips an arm under Yamasaki chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Mendes has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Mendes is squeezing on Yamasaki like an anaconda would it's prey. Yamasaki fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Paulo Mendes decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Hideyoshi Yamasaki decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
