We've been hearing reports that Diaz has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Nate Diaz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Maze will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Perkele leaves Maze with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Perkele throws a big counter combination but Maze scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Maze.
Tuoni Perkele has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Maze.
No luck for Maze with that takedown attempt.

Perkele reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Perkele taps out! Nice BJJ there by Maze!

Wangting throws a leg kick but Maze moved away.
Wangting swings for the body but Maze moves out of range.
Maze shoots for a takedown but Wangting saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Maze fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wangting avoids it really well and circles away.
Maze uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wangting.
Maze has his takedown stuffed
and Wangting connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Maze. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Well Wangting has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
