Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Martinet, as that shot connected.
A punch combination from Martinet misses.
Baloyi slips a jab from Martinet.
Baloyi went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.#CL#
Baloyi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Martinet takes a knee to the side of the body.
Baloyi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Baloyi tries to land knees in the clinch but Martinet avoids the damage to the body. #BC#
Baloyi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Martinet will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Martinet walks into a jab.
Baloyi throws a poor cross that misses
and Martinet counters with a straight right hand.
Baloyi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Baloyi cracks Martinet with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Martinet tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Baloyi pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Martinet is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Martinet lands a right hook to the body.
Martinet throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Petrosyan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Petrosyan takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Petrosyan misses with an uppercut.
Martinet changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Petrosyan connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Petrosyan throws a right and a left that Martinet avoids nicely.
Martinet unleashes a big counter combination but Petrosyan bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Martinet throws a hook but Petrosyan avoids it easily.
A swing and a miss from Petrosyan.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Martinet lands with a hook. Petrosyan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Nice cross by Martinet.
Petrosyan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The crowd cheers as Martinet lands an impressive looking overhand right. Petrosyan doesn't seem phased though.

Petrosyan walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Petrosyan throws a jab but it's blocked by Martinet.
Martinet scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Petrosyan throws a looping overhand right but Martinet ducks down to avoid it.
Martinet stalks Petrosyan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Petrosyan's face. Petrosyan staggers backwards, shaken.
Petrosyan misses with a double jab.
Marc Martinet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martinet looks to land a combination but Petrosyan avoids it well.
A little feinted left hand from Petrosyan on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Petrosyan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Petrosyan just misses with a punch to the body.
Martinet throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Petrosyan.
Martinet steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Petrosyan.
Petrosyan looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.#T2#

Martinet get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Martinet stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Petrosyan runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

A very excited looking Giorgio Petrosyan rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. |
