Saase throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nemogedov throws a body punch but Saase moves out of range.
Saase lunges at Nemogedov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Nemogedov's hand. #CUT2#It looks like Lustak Nemogedov has been cut.
Nemogedov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Saase fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nemogedov manages to avoid it.
Saase feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nemogedovs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Saase throws a body shot but no joy.
Nemogedov was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Nemogedov missing with a left hand there. Saase was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Nemogedov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nemogedov misses with a few strikes there.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nemogedov takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Saase keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Lustak Nemogedov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nemogedov takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Saase drops Nemogedov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Nemogedov looks back up at him and smiles so Saase waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Saase closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Nemogedov! Saase dives in looking to finish! Nemogedov is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vosu Saase!
Vosu Saase was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. |

A telegraphed right hand from Nemogedov misses the target. #TD2#
Neer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Nemogedov is trying to stand up here but Neer is controlling him well. #SUB2#
Neer is looking for a kimura but Nemogedov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Neer to get the leverage.
Nemogedov tries to kick Neer off but Neer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Neer wants to pass the guard but Nemogedov is defending well.
Neer stalling.
Nemogedov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nemogedov tries to get out of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2#
Neer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nemogedov defends it well.

Nemogedov is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Neer asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Neer works to advance to full mount. Nemogedov defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. #SUB2#
Nemogedov has left one of his arms exposed and Neer doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Nemogedov screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
