and Brachton counters with a shoot takedown. Mack fights it but they end up in guard.
Mack trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Brachton lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Mack controlling the position.
Mack wants to sweep but no luck.
Mack controls Brachton momentarily but Brachton frees himself.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Mack counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mack throws a body shot but no joy.
Mack is trying hard to land a takedown here. Brachton sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Mack cracks Brachton with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Brachton tries to land a leg kick but Mack saw it coming and moves away.
Mack lands a nice shot to the body.
Mack goes for a double leg but Brachton avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Brachton continues to drive forward.

As Mack tries to get set, Brachton tries to push him back and clinch up but Mack manages to avoid the attempt.
Mack fails to land the takedown.
Brian Brachton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Mack.
Brachton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Brachton checks the leg kick nicely there.
Brachton fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mack throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Brachton takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Brachton doesn't manage to clinch there - Mack circles away.
Jimmy Mack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brachton gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Brachton has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mack off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Mack got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brachton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mack has managed to get both his arms back between Brachton's legs - danger averted.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brian Brachton will probably get the nod.

Mack shoots in and gets a takedown into Jackson's guard.
Mack controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Mack stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mack is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mack wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Mack passes Jackson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Mack is taking a breather. Jackson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Mack misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jackson has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
A nice combination there by Jackson.
Mack lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jackson's sensitive parts.
Mack stuns Jackson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mack, as that shot connected.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackson tries to clinch there but Mack circles away.
Mack throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jackson.

Mack scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
