The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Velasquez.
Velasquez takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Davies fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Velasquez, pushing him back against the cage.
Davies gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Velasquez.
Velasquez is trying to break the clinch but Davies has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Velasquez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Davies to keep the fight standing.
Davies tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
