Lawrie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Robby as he jumps to the side.

and Robby counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Lawrie off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Robby follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Lawrie was out before he hit the floor.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bobby Robby!

Robby fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hatton goes for a double leg but Robby avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Robby continues to drive forward.

Hatton feints and as Robby raises his hands in defense, Hatton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Robby wants to stand and escape but Hatton is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Portman is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Robby has his hands clasped together but Portman extends and breaks Robby's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Portman.
