The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Legionarius fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Shirta on the side of the head.
Shirta fails with a takedown attempt.

and Legionarius counters with a nice right hand that sends Shirta toppling to the canvas! Shirta scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Legionarius finish him?!#ROC#Shirta is rocked!#CUT#It looks like Peepee Shirta has been cut.
Legionarius throws a nice looking combination but Shirta bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Shirta looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Legionarius is fending him off so far but Shirta persists. Nope, Legionarius circles away and we're back to standing.
Marcellus Legionarius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peepee Shirta.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Legionarius throws a nice outside leg kick.
Legionarius lands with a thumping leg kick.
Shirta changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Legionarius tries to avoid it but Shirta manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Legionarius to the ground. Legionarius escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
It looked like Legionarius was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Shirta takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.#TD2#
Shirta looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Legionarius tries to kick Shirta off but Shirta keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. #SUB2#
Shirta is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Legionarius doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Shirta.
Legionarius's coaches at Finch Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.#T1##SUB2#
Shirta is working for a kimura but Legionarius is defending it quite comfortably.
Shirta should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.#ES#

Shirta doesn't succeed with the takedown

Jeffries misses with a two punch combination.
Shirta looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Shirta avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shirta throws a big counter combination but Jeffries scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Shirta has a takedown stuffed.
Jeffries tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shirta was well out of range. Poor timing from Jeffries.
Shirta drops down looking for a counter takedown but Jeffries sprawls and moves away.
Jeffries circles away from the clinch attempt.
Shirta shoots in looking for a takedown. Jeffries tries to sprawl out of it but Shirta keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jeffries manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB#
Shirta drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Shirta as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Jeffries screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Shirta! Nice submission victory there!

Irons bucks up and tries to throw Shirta off but instead Shirta has got his back!#SUB#
Shirta has got one arm under Irons's chin. This could be trouble... Irons trying to control the other hand but Shirta gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Irons has tapped out! The fight is over!
