Dooseldorf goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Dooseldorf because Marquese was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Marquese shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Smoker eats them both and turns towards Marquese to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Nice uppercut lands for Marquese. That snapped Smoker's head back.
Smoker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Smoker lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Smoker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marquese as he avoids it easily. #TD2#

Smoker thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Marquese is trying to force a seperation but Benavidez has the dominant position.
Marquese's coach down at Cozad MMA Los Angeles was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Marquese's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Benavidez goes for a takedown attempt but Marquese pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Marquese misses with an uppercut. Benavidez saw that one coming.

and Benavidez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Marquese lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though. #CUT2#It looks like Sick Rat has been cut.
