Stone pulls guard successfully.
Voranovskis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. #SU#
Voranovskis gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. #TD#
Voranovskis closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stone did well to prevent Voranovskis getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone is trying to stand up here but Voranovskis is controlling him well.
It looks like Voranovskis is going to stand back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stone wants to hold on but Voranovskis pushes him away.

Stone bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Stone lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Voranovskis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Voranovskis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stone for as long as he can get away with.

Voranovskis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stone on the ground.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

I was talking to Voranovskis's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Voranovskis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Stone has him pressed against the cage.

Stone is trying to drag Voranovskis to the mat but Voranovskis just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Stone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Stone closes the distance looking to clinch #TD2#
and Chiappe counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Chiappe stalling.
Stone is looking to control Chiappe's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stone avoid being mounted?

Chiappe has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Stone defend it? Chiappe steps over the head and cranks it - Stone is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Chiappe!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Juper accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Juper cracks Stone with a solid left hand.
Juper prevents Stone from getting back to his feet.
Juper landing some decent shots from guard.

Stone has his foot on Juper's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Juper works his way back into a safe position though.
Juper chips away with some ground and pound.
Juper keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stone's head.

Juper arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Stone's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Donavon Juper!
