and Rue counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hymen tries to kick Rue off but Rue keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Rue wants to free his trapped foot but Hymen is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hymen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rue on the ground.
Rue trying to control the action but Hymen is working from the bottom.
My spies in Clone's gym inform me that Rue has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Rue might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hymen haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Rue throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Hymen has his hands clasped together but Rue breaks the hold and Hymen is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Rue!

Hymen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Hymen has Guy pressed against the cage, preventing Guy from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hymen tries to pull guard but Guy holds him up against the cage and eventually Hymen drops back down to his feet.
Hymen crunches a lovely knee into Guy's ribcage.
Guy is trying to push Hymen away but Hymen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#BC#
Hymen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hymen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Guy.
Hymen takes one to the chin there.
Guy misses with the combination.

Hymen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Guy passes Hymen 's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Guy misses with a head shot. Hymen uses the momentum to regain guard.
Guy with a flurry of punches that miss.
Guy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. #SU2#
Guy stands and steps away. Hymen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Guy lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Hymen goes down and covers up as Guy starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sick Guy! Sick Guy retains his light heavyweight title!

Hymen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Costa was well out of range. Poor timing from Hymen .
Hymen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hymen stuffs the takedown.#CL2#
Costa gets tackled into the cage by Hymen . Hymen maintains the clinch.
Hymen lands a good knee to the midsection. Costa won't want to take too many of those.
Costa is looking to control Hymen 's arms but Hymen gets an underhook and turns him. Now Costa has his back to the cage. #BC#
Costa breaks the clinch.
Costa closes the distance and clinches up with Hymen , looking for a takedown. Costa pushes Hymen against the cage but Hymen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hymen tries to counter with a clinch but Costa shakes him off and moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Costa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
