Vieira postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Vieira slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
King wants to control the position but Vieira says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Vieira in particular looking to stall.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looked like McManus wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
King scores with a crisp jab that stopped McManus in his tracks. #CUT2#It looks like Thomas McManus has been cut.
McManus wants to clinch up but King keeps it at a distance.
McManus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but King circles away quickly and effectively.
King throws a nice looking combination but McManus bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McManus works King's body with a nice hook.
King jabs McManus right on the nose. McManus blinks but takes it well.
McManus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but King paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McManus throws a series of strikes that have King backpedaling.
King on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#CL#
McManus darts in and clinches King up against the cage.
King tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
McManus lands a right hand.
McManus swings wildly with an uppercut but King uses good head movement to avoid it.
King told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Sakuraba is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Sakuraba seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Sakuraba working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sakuraba has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sakuraba looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks King with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

King rushes Shellenberger and presses him up against the cage.

King manages to break the clinch.
King rushes Shellenberger and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
King is leaning against Shellenberger and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
King avoiding damage.

King escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick misses from Shellenberger.
Shellenberger looks for a takedown but King sprawls well.
