The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Wayne.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kattar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kattar tries to clinch but Wayne is having none of it.
Wayne circles away from the clinch attempt.

Wayne lands a big head kick that sends Kattar tumbling to the mat! Wayne takes a step backwards and waves Kattar back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC2#Kattar is rocked!#CUT2#It looks like Alexander Kattar has been cut.
Kattar tries to clinch but Wayne moves away
and Wayne counters with a nice body kick.
Oh Kattar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kattar is breathing heavily.
Wayne throws a powerful right kick. Kattar tried to block low but the kick was high! Kattar was taken right off of his feet! Wayne jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Anthony Wayne!
After the fight, Anthony Wayne was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kattar enables Lovanov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kattar manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.#ES2#
Kattar wriggles free and stands up.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kattar tries to clinch up.
Kattar moves in looking to clinch but Lovanov pushes him off.#TD#
Lovanov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kattar did well to prevent Lovanov getting side control.
Kattar wants to control but Lovanov is keeping busy.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lovanov prevents Kattar from improving his position.
Lovanov drops an elbow to the side of Kattar's head.
Lovanov is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Kattar reverses the position - he's now on top in Lovanov's guard.
Kattar would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zahbit Lovanov.

Kattar has Starling up against the ropes in a clinch.
Kattar tries to land a knee to the head but Starling blocks with his arms.
Kattar is pushing Starling up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Kattar using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Starling has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Starling leaning his opponent against the ropes.
Kattar throws a knee to the head but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
