The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones walks forward, straight into a front kick from Rummy.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rummy moves away.
Jones misses with a lunging right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Rummy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Rummy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rummy has been working on his boxing with his coaches at TZY MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Rummy lands a nice hook to Jones's body. Jones takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A jab from Rummy does it's job there.
Rummy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab.
Jones tries to move into range but Rummy moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Jones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!#KD#
Rummy lands a big head kick that sends Jones tumbling to the mat! Rummy takes a step backwards and waves Jones back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC#Jones is rocked!
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Rummy finish him?
Rummy lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jones at a distance.
Jones glances at the clock... BAM! Rummy nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Jones crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Jones is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Benito Rummy!
After the fight, Benito Rummy was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rummy thows a leg kick but Ortiz checks it #TD#
and Ortiz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've been hearing good reports from Ortiz's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rummy can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rummy trying to control the position here.
Ortiz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rummy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ortiz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB#
Ortiz drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Ortiz as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Rummy screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Ortiz! Nice submission victory there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rummy misses the shot to the body.
Pukki fails with a takedown attempt.

Rummy has Pukki up against the cage in a clinch.
Rummy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Knees to the body from Rummy.
Pukki drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rummy gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Pukki's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Rummy lands an elbow inside.
Rummy creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Pukki's defenses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rummy landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Pukki tries to score a body lock takedown but Rummy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Benito Rummy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jalmar Pukki.
Rummy gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Jalmar Pukki has been cut.
Pukki takes a knee right on the jaw!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pukki drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rummy pulls his leg out and moves away.
Rummy scoring well with a low kick there.

Pukki on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Rummy sizes up Pukki with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Pukki tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rummy swivels and escapes.
Rummy lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Pukki on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
A shot to the liver by Rummy. Beautiful body shot.
Rummy walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Pukki checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Pukki swats away the attempt to clinch by Rummy.

Rummy gets caught napping as Pukki dives in and scores a takedown. Rummy manages to retain guard.
Rummy has his hands on Pukki's head, controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pukki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rummy is keeping the position for now.
Rummy wants to sweep but no luck.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rummy is adopting a defensive guard.
Rummy is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pukki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rummy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pukki slips nicely into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rummy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pukki is working away from the top position though.
Pukki prevents Rummy from improving his position.

Pukki looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Pukki is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rummy defends it well.

Rummy is staying active underneath Pukki, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Pukki is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Rummy tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pukki content just to control the position here.

Pukki is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rummy to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rummy shrugs it off.

Pukki has hold of Rummy's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rummy manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Pukki is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Rummy is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jalmar Pukki!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rummy connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ali momentarily.
Ali doesn't manage to clinch there - Rummy circles away.
Rummy was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Rummy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rummy lands a nice shot that snaps Ali's head back.
A slapping leg kick lands for Rummy.
Nice straight punches there by Rummy. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rummy.
Rummy dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rummy tries to land a body kick

and Ali counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ali postures up.
Rummy controlling Ali's posture.
Ali postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Ali trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Rummy working a defensive guard but Ali passes into half guard.
Ali tries to pass to full mount but Rummy defends it.
Rummy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ali on the ground.
Rummy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Rummy desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Rummy trying to hold on to Ali's head to control him but Ali postures up.
Ali content to control rather than advance.
Ali wants to pass to mount but Rummy is defending the position.
Ali lands with a punch from half guard.

Ali is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rummy is just riding it out for now. Ali eventually gives up the hold.

Ali keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rummy's head.

Ali engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Rummy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ali is one step ahead there.
Ali pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rummy is keeping the position for now.

Ali is looking to work some ground and pound but Rummy has wrist control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ali sitting in guard here, content to control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
No luck for Ali with that takedown attempt.
Ali bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ali blocks a head kick by Rummy.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rummy.
A combination from Ali does no damage.
Rummy looks to land a left hand but Ali moved out of range nicely.
Ali misses with a few strikes there.
Rummy lands a jab to the head.
Ali blocks a jab.
Some wild striking there from Rummy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Benito Rummy will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Rummy lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Ali is looking for a takedown.

Ali leaves his chin hanging out and Rummy seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Ali crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Benito Rummy!
In his post fight interview, Benito Rummy started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
