The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Springfield throws out a powerful jab.
Dice shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Springfield pinned against the cage. Springfield gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dice gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Springfield counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dice has his takedown stuffed
and Springfield counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jebediah Springfield has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dennis Dice.
Dice will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Springfield seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

enabling Springfield to counter with a crisp jab.

Springfield lands a big right hand that sends Dice crashing to the mat! Springfield stays standing though and waves Dice back to his feet!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Springfield throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dice on the side of the head.
Dice is still on wobbly legs! Can Springfield finish him?
Dice fails with the takedown
and Springfield counters with a huge left! Dice is in big trouble! He's backing up but Springfield isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Dice from any more damage. A dominating finish by Springfield!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jebediah Springfield!
A relieved looking Jebediah Springfield thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |

Dice gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Xiaodong counters with a stiff right hand.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Xiaodong lands a jab.
Xiaodong scores with the left hand. Dice knows he should have avoided that one.
Dice tries to score a power double leg takedown but Xiaodong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dice somewhat.
Dice fails to land the takedown.
A little feinted left hand from Xiaodong on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Li Xiaodong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dennis Dice.
Dice's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Xiaodong connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dice scrambles back to his feet.

Dice changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Xiaodong looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Xiaodong lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
