Alexander feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Bastian can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Alexander controls the pace.
Bastian wants to sweep but no luck.
Bastian throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bastian can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bastian thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Alexander stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bastian swivels though and keeps the full guard.

I would just about give that final round to Brandon Bastian.

Dogg shoots in for a double leg but Bastian sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dogg lands with a kick to the temple. Bastian shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" #CUT2#

Bastian closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dogg quickly recovers to half guard.
Dogg is trying to escape back to his feet but Bastian uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Bastian looks up at the clock and then as Dogg takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bastian smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Dogg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bastian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Dogg, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bastian is aggressively charging in as Carver backs up avoiding any damage. Carver tosses out a jab and Bastian runs right into it face first! Bastian is out cold! Carver dropped down on all fours and is barking in Bastian's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
