Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tom Tomson (ranked 3307 p4p, 0 weight class) and Archie Davids (ranked 24345 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Tom Tomson! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Archie Davids!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Donatello Bradman and Topper Green.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Davids has a takedown stuffed.

Tomson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tomson tries to counter by clinching up but Davids breaks away and moves out of range.

Davids jumps guard but Tomson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Tom Tomson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Archie Davids.
Davids has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tomson after a bit of a struggle.
I was talking to Tomson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Davids has Tomson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tomson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Davids looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Davids reaches up to try and control the position but Tomson seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Davids rolls and tries to escape and now Tomson has his back!

You can see the frustration on Davids's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Davids with a poor takedown
and Pritcharf counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Pritcharf takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Davids wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Pritcharf manages to pass to side control. #REVR#
Pritcharf seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pritcharf working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Davids is looking to escape.

Pritcharf is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Davids is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
