Cold steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Torkoly Jr.
Cold swings for the body but Torkoly Jr moves out of range.
As Cold looks to move away, Torkoly Jr throws a big counter combo but Cold just gets out of the way.
Cold jabs Torkoly Jr right on the nose. Torkoly Jr blinks but takes it well.#KD2#
Cold bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Torkoly Jr! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Torkoly Jr wants to hit a switch here but Cold passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Torkoly Jr there!

Steven Cold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cold throws a right and a left that both miss.
It looked like Torkoly Jr wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Cold has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.#T2#

and Cold counters with a monster head kick that knocks Torkoly Jr out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!

Morton tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Torkoly Jr counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. #CL#
Morton moves into range and clinches up with Torkoly Jr.
Morton tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Morton stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Morton is looking to control Torkoly Jr's arms but Torkoly Jr gets an underhook and turns him. Now Morton has his back to the cage.
Morton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Torkoly Jr digs a right hand into Morton's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Morton's gas tank.

Torkoly Jr manages to break the clinch.
Torkoly Jr cracks Morton with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Morton tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Torkoly Jr pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Morton is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Benjamin Torkoly Jr!

Burks shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Torkoly Jr but Torkoly Jr pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Torkoly Jr steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

It looks like Jackie Burks has been cut.
Burks leaves his chin hanging out and Torkoly Jr seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Burks crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Cleveland gets to his feet - Torkoly Jr follows without any prompting.
Cleveland takes one to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Torkoly Jr lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cleveland at a distance.

Cleveland is rocked!
Torkoly Jr lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Cleveland up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Torkoly Jr from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Cleveland's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
