The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Chris Dean and Donatello Bradman.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Yamasato is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spong sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Yamasato shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Spong pinned against the cage. Spong gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Yamasato shoots in looking for a takedown. Spong tries to sprawl out of it but Yamasato keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Spong drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yamasato manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Spong has Yamasato in his guard.

Spong had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yamasato defends it easily.

Yamasato wants to pass the guard but Spong is keeping the position.

Yamasato drops back looking for a leg! Spong is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Spong manages to kick Yamasato off! Yamasato jumps back into Spong's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Spong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yamasato can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

After the fight, Tyronne Spong was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Jensen tries to kick Yamasato off in order to stand up. Yamasato Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Jensen wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Yamasato has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Jensen's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Jensen is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Yamasato!
