Dye's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Knight connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dye scrambles back to his feet.
Knight cracks Dye with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Dye misses with the body kick
and Knight counters with a stiff right hand.

Dye walks into a stiff left hand from Knight.
Dye takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Dye checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Knight scores with a nice strike.
Dye misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Knight lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Jason Knight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Knight throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dye on the side of the head.
Dye dives in and grabs Knight's left leg, looking for a takedown. Knight pushes down on Dye's head and hops out.#T1#
Knight takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Knight is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Dye had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Knight circles away from the clinch attempt.
Knight stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Knight wants it to stay on the feet.
Dye looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Knight is fending him off so far but Dye persists. Nope, Knight circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Logan Dye. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Knight cracks Dye with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Knight scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Knight dodges the punch combination from Dye.

A bone on bone clash there as Dye blocks the leg kick.
Dye went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Dye tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Knight lands with a shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Knight scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Dye drops his hands momentarily and Knight takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Knight cracks a nice hook into Dye's ribs.
Dye is breathing heavily.
Knight jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Knight steps in with a hook that catches Dye right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Knight follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Dye looks absolutely devastated.

Whitaker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dye shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Whitaker sprawls well. Whitaker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dye gets slowly back to his feet.
A left and a right from Whitaker both land. Nice combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whitaker darts in looking for a takedown but Dye gets double underhooks and turns Whitaker into the cage.
Dye doesn't manage to clinch there - Whitaker circles away.

Dye is looking to take a break and control but Whitaker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Whitaker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dye tries to score with some ground and pound. Whitaker controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Whitaker is sitting in close to Dye's body. Dye has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Whitaker is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Whitaker is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Dye.
