Adams cracks Romanov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Adams has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Romanov to stand back up!#ROC#
Romanov is rocked!
Adams lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Romanov up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Adams from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Romanov's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Callum Adams!

Romanov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Romanov shoots in looking for a takedown. Youngblood tries to sprawl out of it but Romanov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Youngblood manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Youngblood looks to score with a jab to the body but Romanov is just out of range.

Romanov takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Romanov's coach down at Cozad MMA Rio was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Romanov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Romanov drops his hands for a split second and Matthews immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Romanov face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Matthews follows up with a right hand that knocks Romanov into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Oh but Romanov is tightening it up a little... Matthews has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Matthews reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Matthews taps out! Nice BJJ there by Romanov!
