Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tommy Ebbitt (ranked 3950 p4p, 392 weight class) and Erick Jost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ebbitt's entrance music is DMX-Ain't No Sunshine. A fine choice. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Tommy Ebbitt! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Erick Jost!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Jost tries to keep at a distance but Ebbitt has taken the fight into the clinch.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Ebbitt working for a triangle but Jost defends it easily.
Ebbitt is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Official UFC Performance Institute Training Center that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Ebbitt is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Ebbitt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jost doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jost manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ebbitt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jost defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ebbitt is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Jost rolls with it to try and escape but Ebbitt cranks on the arm and Jost is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Jost wants to take the fight to the mat but Gardner manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Ralph Gardner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erick Jost.

Gardner is pressed up against the cage. Jost has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gardner down to the mat. Gardner avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Gardner slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jost takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Gardner scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jost doesn't seem bothered though.
Gardner jabs Jost right on the nose. Jost blinks but takes it well.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gardner makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Gardner unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Jost! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Gardner is unloading with more strikes now! Jost drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Koizumi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jost with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

It looks like Erick Jost has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jost switches off momentarily and Sight cracks him with a monster right hand! Jost topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Sight dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Sight!

Horrible takedown attempt by Lee or perhaps it was just good defense by Jost, which made it look bad.
Stan Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jost is working for a rear naked choke. Lee is not defending it well and Jost has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Lee refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Lee's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
