Pavle wants to pass the guard but Whitfield is defending well.
Pavle seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Whitfield knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pavle on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whitfield is looking to control Pavle's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Whitfield avoid being mounted?
Whitfield is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pavle is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Whitfield stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Pavle throws up his legs and catches Whitfield in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Whitfield tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Pavle! That came out of nowhere!
