Puckett manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Barrera on his heels. He'll look to pass Barrera's guard now, I'm sure.
Barrera really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Puckett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Puckett is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Puckett accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Head has closed the distance and engaged Barrera in a clinch. #BC#
Head escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Barrera scores with a nice right hand.
Barrera throws a body shot but no joy.
Head has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Head there as he acknowledges the shot.#CUT2#
It looks like Brock Head has been cut.
Barrera misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Head.

Barrera swings for the body but Head moves out of range.
Head on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. #CL#
Head darts in and clinches Barrera up against the cage.
Barrera tries to stall but Head uses the opportunity to gain a better position. #BC#
Head breaks the clinch.
Barrera feints with a jab and clips Head right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Head is sent crashing into the canvas and Barrera leaps in for the kill! Head tries to get to his feet but Barrera is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Head is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Antonio Barrera!

Barrera cracks a nice hook into England's ribs.
Barrera dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Barrera comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Barrera lands with an uppercut that bounces England off the cage and back into range.
Barrera moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
England walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
England with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Barrera to score with a decent uppercut.
England throws a right and a left that Barrera avoids nicely.
Barrera is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
England takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
This has been an exciting period of action!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
