Packalen has Taateli pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Packalen pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Taateli tumbling to the mat - Packalen dives into Taateli's guard.
Taateli wants to stand and escape but Packalen is having none of it.
Packalen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Packalen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Taateli for as long as he can get away with.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Taateli gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Packalen to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Packalen looking to pass the guard.
Packalen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
It looks like Packalen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Taateli wants to sweep but no luck.
Taateli really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
