Jinete stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Briggs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jinete controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jinete tries to free his leg and advance position but Briggs is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jinete stays in close to Briggs's body and controls the position.

Briggs looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jinete has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Briggs to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Jinete is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Briggs pulls down on the head and he's put Jinete to sleep! This one is all over!
