Payne clobbers Jaa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Payne has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.#TD#
Jaa is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Payne's half guard.

Payne landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Payne looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jaa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Payne lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Jaa! More strikes land and this one is all over! Payne jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Hase went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Hase attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Jaa darts in looking for a takedown but Hase gets double underhooks and turns Jaa into the cage.

Jaa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hase was well out of range. Poor timing from Jaa.
Hase is looking to counter the offense by Jaa and move into the clinch.
The fighters circling - Jaa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hase keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Edu Hase will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
