North controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
North passes into half guard.
Freds has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. North is working away from the top position though.
Freds is trying to stand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Freds is in trouble now - North has advanced to mount! #SUB#
Freds has left one of his arms exposed and North doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Freds screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

North looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Caesar is fending him off so far but North persists. Nope, Caesar circles away and we're back to standing.
It looked like Caesar wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Sloppy strikes from Caesar. Those never looked like landing.

North escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. #SUB#
North working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
North is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR#
