Mitchell feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mitchell lands a couple of digs.
Diaz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mitchell on the ground.
Mitchell stays in close to Diaz's body and controls the position.
Mitchell passes Diaz's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Mitchell slows the pace down in half guard.
Diaz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Diaz is rocked!
Mitchell is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Diaz is hurt! He's hurt bad - Mitchell fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Diaz from any more punishment! Congratulations to Mitchell! Great finish!
