We've been told by O Shaunnessy's head coaches at 3Band MMA ($500/week) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sebastos ducks right into an uppercut from O Shaunnessy.
O Shaunnessy just misses with a punch to the body.
Sebastos is looking for the big counter here.
O Shaunnessy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sebastos throws out a loose jab but O Shaunnessy uses good head movement to avoid it.
O Shaunnessy stuns Sebastos with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Sebastos takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.#CL#

O Shaunnessy is trying to break the clinch but Sebastos has him pressed against the ropes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

O Shaunnessy staggers Sebastos with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Sebastos looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!

Sebastos has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

O Shaunnessy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Sebastos paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sebastos gets cracked with a nice right hand there by O Shaunnessy.
O Shaunnessy looks for the body kick but Sebastos saw that one coming.
Donk. O Shaunnessy catches Sebastos right on the button with a cross.
O Shaunnessy lands a nice hook to Sebastos's body. Sebastos takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Sebastos moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.#ROC#

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. O Shaunnessy engages and cracks Sebastos with a massive lead left hook - Sebastos tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! O Shaunnessy is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Fergal O Shaunnessy!
In defeat, Zat Sebastos stepped up to the mic, saying 'Well not much ya can do bout dat'.

It looks like Fergal O Shaunnessy has been cut.
O Shaunnessy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bennett.
Bennett throws a big shot that misses.
O Shaunnessy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bennett swivels and escapes.
The fighters circling - Bennett throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A cross from Bennett lands.
O Shaunnessy walks into a jab.
Bennett is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by O Shaunnessy.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bennett shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. O Shaunnessy takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Bennett sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! O Shaunnessy bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

O Shaunnessy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Masters napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Masters is looking to reverse the position.
O Shaunnessy trying to control the action but Masters is working from the bottom.
O Shaunnessy is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masters gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Masters slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
O Shaunnessy looking to sit in guard and control but Masters gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR#
Masters is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Masters lands a couple of good shots and O Shaunnessy has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Masters lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

Masters looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Masters gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Can O Shaunnessy hold on?! Masters is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Masters is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
O Shaunnessy covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Masters scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. O Shaunnessy is looking for a way out.
Masters is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Masters gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Masters gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Masters apologises and we restart here on the feet.

and Masters counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
