Lang is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Platanares can do to turn this around?
Platanares changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lang tries to avoid it but Platanares manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lang to the ground. Lang escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lang throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Platanares stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
James Lang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Platanares's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mitchell under the eye.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mitchell has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
