Fabrinho manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sheppard on his heels. He'll look to pass Sheppard's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fabrinho postures up in Sheppard's guard and throws a big left but Sheppard blocks it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sheppard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fabrinho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bockert pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.#TD#
Bockert fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sheppard sprawls well initially but Bockert persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bockert seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Bockert takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Sheppard has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bockert is working away from the top position though.
Bockert is pressing down on Sheppard's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sheppard is holding on for now.
Sheppard wants to get back to his feet.

Bockert postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Sheppard out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Bockert goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

After the fight, Lowell Bockert was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
