Butcher misses with some punches.
Butcher doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Butcher misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Timmons tries to score a body lock takedown but Butcher shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Timmons wants to take the fight to the mat but Butcher manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Timmons is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Butcher to keep the fight standing.
Barry Butcher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikey Timmons.
Butcher misses with a hook to the ribs.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Butcher creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Timmons's coach down at The Bear's Den ($300) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Timmons's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

A relieved looking Barry Butcher thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Montgomery really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Timmons. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Timmons has control of Paven's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Paven regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
