Godinho swats away the attempt to clinch by Grant.
Grant pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Godinho back to the cage. Grant follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.#CUT2#
It looks like Miguel Godinho has been cut.
Grant scores with a nice right hand.
Godinho looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A punch lands to the side of Godinho 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Grant cracks Godinho with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Godinho tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Grant pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Godinho is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ulysses Grant!

Jackson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Godinho manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jackson misses with a hook. Godinho ducked under it nicely.
Jackson tries to land a front kick but Godinho steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Godinho fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away.#CL#

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Godinho is defending well for now.
Godinho drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jackson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Godinho has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.#T1#

Godinho bucks up and tries to throw Jackson off but instead Jackson has got his back!
Godinho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
