Nomura looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Nomura misses with a straight right.
And Perry tries to counter it with a takedown but Nomura pushes his down on his head and steps out.#TD2#
Nomura gets caught flat footed, as Perry shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Perry wants to pass the guard but Nomura is keeping the position.
Perry stopping the sweep attempt from Nomura.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Perry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Perry working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Nomura is pulling down on Perry's head. It's preventing any offense from Perry, at least for the moment.
Nomura manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Perry manages to get himself to full guard. #REVR#

Nomura is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Couture.
Nomura ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Couture's coach down at Harambe Remembrance Hall was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Couture's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.#CL#
Nomura has Couture up against the cage in a clinch.

Nomura lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Couture is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Nomura has latched onto it... Big trouble! Nomura pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Couture is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Nomura!

Kanagawa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nomura. #TD#
Nomura shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kanagawa napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Nomura works to advance to full mount. Kanagawa defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Kanagawa tries to lock up and control but Nomura gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nomura wants to finish this one by submission but Kanagawa is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Nomura.

Kanagawa has left one of his arms exposed and Nomura doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Kanagawa screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Frazier gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nomura is working for takedown but Frazier is calmly controlling the position for now.
I was talking to Nomura's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.#TD#
Nomura gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Frazier really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nomura. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nomura content to stall in guard here.
Frazier not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Daichi Nomura decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

McPaddy forces Nomura back against the cage and clinches.
Nomura tries to throw a body punch but McPaddy avoids it by throwing Nomura back against the cage.
Nomura has a couple of punches blocked by McPaddy. #TD#
Nomura jumps into guard, dragging McPaddy to the mat. #SUB#
Nomura is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! McPaddy rolls with it to try and escape but Nomura cranks on the arm and McPaddy is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
