and Petrov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Petrov connects with a right hand. Byrd shakes it off.
Horrible takedown attempt by Byrd or perhaps it was just good defense by Petrov, which made it look bad.
Petrov is looking for the big counter here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Byrd throws a leg kick but Sergeev sees it coming and checks it nicely.

And Sergeev tries to counter it with a takedown but Byrd pushes his down on his head and steps out.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cleveland Byrd will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cleveland Byrd.
