#R1# A Rod misses with a takedown and Stone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A Rod avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Stone throws a right and a left that both miss. Stone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but A Rod moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Stone looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Stone throws out a loose jab but A Rod uses good head movement to avoid it. #CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position. Stone takes a shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A Rod tries to work over Stone's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Stone blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
#TD2# A Rod gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.#ES# Stone manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. A Rod keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. #T1##TD2# A Rod gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Stone regains guard.
A Rod is standing up over Stone. Stone looks to escape but A Rod dives into side control.
#REVR# A Rod is looking to take a break and control but Stone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stone manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Stone is looking to advance position but A Rod won't allow it. Stone passes the guard and advances to mount! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stone controlling from the full mount. #T2# Stone prevents A Rod from getting the reversal. A Rod is squirming around, avoiding Stone's attempts to control the action. A Rod is working to get back to half guard.
A Rod tries to lock up and control but Stone gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. A nice elbow there by Stone. Stone wants to control but instead A Rod manages to regain half guard. Stone trying to control the action but A Rod is working from the bottom. #T3# A Rod throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
A Rod moves into full guard.
A Rod pulls Stone in close to prevent any damage. A Rod has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Stone has passed into side control.
A Rod defending against the ground and pound. The ground and pound from Stone seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. A Rod is looking for a sweep.#T4# Stone controlling from side mount. A Rod is working to avoid the ground and pound but Stone connects with a decent elbow. A Rod parries the strikes from Stone easily there. Stone is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable A Rod to escape.

A Rod tries to escape but Stone is in control. Stone in side control, throwing shots but A Rod defends. Stone is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt A Rod will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Stone lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. You can see the frustration on A Rod's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Axel Stone dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. #R2# A Rod doesn't manage to clinch there - Stone circles away.
#TD2# A Rod shoots in and bounces Stone off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Stone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.#SUB# Stone escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. A Rod gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. A Rod trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stone lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A Rod pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stone is keeping the position for now. Stone looking to control.
A Rod controls the pace of the fight for a moment.#T1##SUB2# A Rod thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Stone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. A Rod manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVR# The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stone trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Stone postures up and lands a big shot to A Rod's brow. Stone connects with a couple of short punches. A Rod tries to strike from the bottom.
Stone postures up in A Rod's guard and throws a big left but A Rod blocks it. Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but A Rod is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stone is really struggling to control A Rod but he's trying to hold on to the position.#T2# Stone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. #SUB# Stone drops back, looking for a kneebar! A Rod looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. A Rod looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from A Rod! #REVB# Stone is trying to control A Rod's posture but A Rod avoids it. A Rod tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Stone is trying to get back to half guard. Stone tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but A Rod presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! #T3# BOOM! A Rod connects with a massive shot to the dome!
A Rod wants to get back to his feet but Stone is holding on tight.
A Rod tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. A Rod is looking to stand but Stone has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stone wants to control but A Rod is having none of it. Stone is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that A Rod can do to turn this around? A Rod tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Stone slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.#T4# Stone tries to regain full guard. Instead though, A Rod has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Stone is trying to escape the mount.
Stone is trying to stand. Stone really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
A Rod content just to control the position here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stone regains half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dennis A Rod showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! #R3# Stone throws a hook but A Rod avoids it easily. Left hook, right uppercut from Stone. A Rod keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stone. Stone throws a poor cross that misses
#TD2# and A Rod decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stone's guard. A Rod content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Stone lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Stone distracts A Rod with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.#SUB2# Stone avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
A Rod manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stone manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVB# This has been an exciting period of action!#SUB# Stone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. A Rod defends it easily.#T1# A Rod wanted to stand there but Stone had control of the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as A Rod accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. #SUB# Stone looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
#SUB# A Rod is sitting in close to Stone's body. Stone has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! A Rod is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, A Rod is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Stone.
