Acevedo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Mentzer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Acevedo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Acevedo shoots in for a takedown but Mentzer shows good takedown defense.
Mentzer cracks a nice hook into Acevedo's ribs.

Braxton looks to land a right hand but Acevedo moved out of range.

Acevedo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Braxton defends well and Acevedo ends up having to push Braxton into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
