Nakamura is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Theron is controlling him.
Theron not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Theron lands a couple of digs.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Theron is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Theron distracts Nakamura with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nakamura wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Theron is now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

You can see the frustration on Nakamura's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Takeshi connects with a looping right hand.
Nakamura goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Takeshi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Takeshi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nakamura takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Nakamura looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Takeshi lands with a hook. Nakamura tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Nakamura rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Takeshi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Takeshi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nakamura looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Nakamura throws a wild hook but Takeshi just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Nakamura gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Takeshi raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Takayanagi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Nakamura can pounce on him.
Nakamura on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Takayanagi. Takayanagi obviously looking to wear him down.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nakamura has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Takeshi is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Nakamura hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Sius wants to stay close but Nakamura steps back to make room for something. Sius seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Nakamura and Sius drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Fiji Nakamura got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'

It looks like John Doe has been cut.
Look low, kick high! Nakamura uses the oldest trick in the book to send Doe tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Nakamura is absolutely delighted - when Doe wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
