Cardona bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Nathan is not content to let Cardona control the position. #SUB#
Cardona goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Nathan rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cardona's guard! Nice work there by Nathan! #SUB#
Cardona throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Nathan escapes and throws Cardona's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Cardona takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Nathan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cardona to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cardona shrugs it off.

Nathan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Cardona to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nathan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Cardona pulls down on the head and he's put Nathan to sleep! This one is all over!

Nathan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Flagg is fending him off so far but Nathan persists. Nope, Flagg circles away and we're back to standing.
Nathan sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Nathan throws a front kick aimed at Flagg's knee but Flagg avoids it well.
Flagg swats away the attempt to clinch by Nathan.#TD2#
Nathan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Flagg sprawls well initially but Nathan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Flagg knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nathan on the ground.#SU2#
Nathan decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Nathan shoots in looking for a takedown but Flagg manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nathan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Nathan is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Nathan hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Nosula slaps away a takedown attempt from Nathan, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nosula is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Nosula looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Nathan dives in and grabs Nosula's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nosula pushes down on Nathan's head and hops out.
Nathan is looking to clinch but Nosula is avoiding it.
Nathan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
