El Angel gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rogers advances to half guard.
Rogers perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Rogers wants to pass the guard but El Angel is defending well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

El Angel has left one of his arms exposed and Rogers doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. El Angel screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

A relieved looking Steve Rogers thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Jose El Angel spoke after the fight, saying 'I just dont know what happened. The water i had was bad...i just dont know...'.

El Angel instigates a clinch.
El Angel blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
El Angel is trying to drag Erwin to the mat but Erwin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
El Angel is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Erwin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Erwin stalls.
El Angel is working for takedown but Erwin is calmly controlling the position for now.
Tyler Erwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose El Angel.

El Angel walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Erwin engages and cracks El Angel with a massive lead left hook - El Angel tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Erwin is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Sims pulls El Angel in close to his closed guard and prevents El Angel from doing any damage or advancing position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sims can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sims wants to get back to his feet but El Angel is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ryan Sims very nearly forgot to thank MMA Hype Apparel amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
